POWERS COURT
STEVE MURRAY
Bassist/producer for progressive power metal trio

MUSICAL BACKGROUND: Began musical training at Visual and Performing Arts School in St. Louis, MO at age 14. Began playing bass at 15 and acquired a taste for hard rock and heavy metal. Steve rapidly progressed on bass and soon joined local hard rock band "Exodust".

Exodust evolved into "Razor Blaze". Razor Blaze performed originals and metal covers (e.g., JUDAS PRIEST, IRON MAIDEN, OZZY, RUSH, and others). Opened up for such national acts as, ACCEPT, RIOT and BLACK OAK.

Steve wanted to pursue metal originals more seriously and was approached by singer/guitarist/songwriter Danie Powers (then of "Equinox") about sitting in on her studio recording.

This became a solid partnership and eventually Steve co-founded POWERS COURT with Danie.

After several attempts to get their unique sound captured in a studio environment and never obtaining a producer with the same goals in mind, Steve decided to take it upon himself and produce the bands recordings.

Steve is currently recording and engineering POWERS COURT's second CD.
