Singer/guitarist/songwriter for power metal trio

• MUSICAL BACKGROUND: Began vocal training/piano lessons at age five. Sang choir for nine years under the direction of Professor Max Hiendlmayr. Requiem Masses (funerals) a specialty.
  

  Briefly took guitar lessons at age 12, quickly abandonded them as "playing by ear" brought about more rapid progression than lessons.
  

  Singing however was the priority and Powers entered the realm of metal as a vocalist for cover band, "Mean Streak" who performed tunes by such artists as JUDAS PRIEST, IRON MAIDEN, BLACK SABBATH, DIO and others.
  

  Quickly tiring of cover tunes, Powers formed three piece band, "Crucible" with bassist B.J. Blair, drummer BLZBob and Powers on vocals and guitar. The group performed all originals Powers had written.
  

  This group evolved into "Equinox" with BLZBob on drums, Monty York on bass and Powers on vocals and guitar. During a final recording session with Equinox, BLZBob and York decided to pursue different musical interests, enter Steve Murray, permanent bassist and producer/sound engineer.
  

  After discovering several bands both regional and national named "Equionox", a name change was in order and POWERS COURT it was.
  

  Rick Kramer, entered the picture in 1996 to serve as session drummer on the debut disc.
